I am a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a wife (to my amazing husband Thomas) and a mother (to two awesome little girls, Kora & Lila).

You want to know more? Here goes:

Me…From A to Z

Aquamarine – My birthstone. Legend has it that aquamarine is the treasure of mermaids and has the power to keep sailors safe at sea. Seems fitting for me.

Baking – I love to bake chocolate chip cookies.

Cartwheel – I do one everyday. The way I see it, if I do a cartwheel every day, I’ll always be capable of cartwheeling. I don’t want to get old and no longer be able to cartwheel. What kind of world would that be?

Daisy – My flower of choice. I just love the simplicity of this flower.

Eggs – I love eggs. From my head down to my legs.

Flamingos – I’ve recently decided that I’m going to become obsessed with all things flamingo!

Green – Green is my favorite color of all times!

Humperdink – The formal name of my fish but sometimes we call him Dink for short.

Igneous? – Metamorphic? I don’t know but baby I rock!

Jury duty – I get randomly selected for jury duty A LOT!!!

Kelli. That’s me!

Lists – I love love love making lists. I can make lists of the lists I want to make. My bucket list, The List, has over a thousand items. Sometimes I think I have as much fun adding to the list as crossing things off.

Malta – Of all the places I want to travel to, Malta is at the top of the list. I’ve wanted to travel there since high school.

Naps – Gotta love ’em! There’s just something special about a good afternoon nap. Makes me happy.

Orangutans – I told my husband that if he ever wanted to surprise me with a wild animal that I wanted an orangutan.

Popcorn, Pasta, Puns, & Pineapples – I guess I have a thing for things that start with the letter P. I have always loved popcorn. I have a cabinet in my kitchen dedicated to popcorn. I think I could eat tortellini/ravioli every day without getting bored of it. A good pun cracks me up. And like flamingos, I want to be obsessed with all things pineapple.

QAT – This is my go to Scrabble word when I get the dreaded Q.

RV – I live in an RV. My husband and I were ready for a simpler life so we decided to drastically downsize and move into an RV.

Sailboat – One day I hope to own a sailboat and island hop in the Carribean. This is the ultimate dream.

Tomato Throwing festival – On the last Wednesday in August there is a Tomato throwing festival in Spain. Of course when I found out about it, it shot to the top of my “I have to do this” list. So I did! It was one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever done.

Unicycle – Once upon a time I owned a unicycle. It got stolen before I could master riding it. One day I’d love to get another one.

Vision – I started wearing glasses in the 5th grade. How poor was my vision? Let’s just say that the big ‘E’ on the chart was a blur! I wore glasses and contacts until I graduated college and then I had laser eye surgery. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Over a decade later and my vision is still 20/20!

Water – My beverage of choice. I don’t care for sparkling water or flavored water. Just plain water from the tap with some ice. It’s the only drink that truly quenches my thirst. I also love water in the recreational sense – I enjoy swimming and sailing. The view out on the ocean – where all you can see in any direction is water – is hard to beat.

Xerox – Yes, I have xeroxed my butt. And no, I didn’t do it just so I had an X for this list. It was actually an item on The List so it had to be done.

Yoga – I’m considering taking up yoga. I am so amazed at people who can hold their bodies in complicated yoga poses and I would love it if I could too.

Zoo – I’m like a little kid when it comes to zoos and aquariums. I like to take my time at each exhibit and just take in the beauty of the animals. Anytime I travel somewhere that has a zoo or aquarium I try to plan a zoo trip. I’ve been to the San Diego Zoo and the National Zoo in DC but I have to say I think my favorite exhibit is the gibbons at the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco.
